Calshot Visit 2017
The Year 6 2017 residential to Calshot was, once again, another great success and we would like to pay tribute to all of the year 6 pupils who went. The pupils did themselves, and the school, proud, and impressed all of the staff at Calshot. It was particularly impressive the way they all overcame challenges and achieved a great deal – whether it was stepping off the 50 foot climbing wall backwards, being away for the first time, trying new food or organising themselves in a shared room. During the week the pupils took part in a variety of activities including the very popular skiing, abseiling, climbing and archery.
Next year’s visit (January 2018) has already been booked and there will be an information meeting for year 5 parents soon. We would also like to thank all of the staff who went on the trip. They gave up a whole week to be away from families, etc. and are on the go from early in the morning until late at night. Without their commitment the residential could not have taken place.
