Having a Gleeful Christmas!

We love Christmas in Glee Club! We have been working hard to learn all the songs for our Christmas Show - The Good, The Bad and the Donkey - which we are performing with Drama Club. But we have also been learning and practising lots of other songs for other Christmassy events too. Our favourite is 'Baby Jesus Sleeps' - a lovely lullaby which we are singing in our Carol Services next week. We sang at our school Christmas Fayre to an absolutely jam-packed hall, which was great! We also performed at the switching on of Andover's Christmas Lights and sang several popular Christmassy songs on the big lorry at the top of the High Street - it was VERY exciting!

Perhaps the nicest part of a Glee Club Christmas, is carol singing around some of the local residents' homes. We've sung for the residents at Rothsay Grange, Mountwood and Charles Dalton Court. We performed some popular Christmas songs, like 'Winter Wonderland', as well as some from our show. But we also sang traditional Christmas Carols like 'O Come All Ye Faithful' with the residents too - it was great to sing together and lovely to be able to chat and get to know other people in our town.

Below are a few photos of our Christmas events. If you pop into school next week, you  might be able to catch us singing in our show (Mon/Tues 6pm-7pm) or at one of our Carol Services (Tues/Wed 9am-10am)

Happy Christmas!
